Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

Introduction

WellspringAI ("we," "our," or "us") operates Wellbot, a securely hosted bot management system for Second Life. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Wellbot.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you pair a bot, we collect and store:

  • Second Life username and encrypted password
  • Bot identifiers and control tokens
  • Bot configuration settings (prompts, personas, Store KB or Sim KB)

Usage Data

We may collect:

  • Points balance and transaction history
  • Bot login/logout activity
  • Conversation history and derived summaries (used to support memory features; you can clear memory in the HUD)
  • Resident identifiers and interaction metadata needed for bot memory, analytics, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention

How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate and manage your bot sessions
  • To process points transactions and billing
  • To provide bot memory, summaries, owner-accessible exports, and support tools
  • To improve our services

Data Storage and Security

Wellbot is securely hosted on our infrastructure with the following protections:

  • Passwords are encrypted using AES-256 encryption
  • Credentials are stored securely on our servers
  • Control tokens are used by the HUD so your password is not stored in HUD object fields
  • All data is protected with industry-standard security measures
  • Conversation history may be stored to provide memory features and improve responses
  • Regular security audits and updates are performed

Third-Party Services

Wellbot may integrate with:

  • Anthropic: For cloud AI-powered IM conversations when chat is enabled. Message content, relevant conversation history, memory summaries, and KB context may be sent to Anthropic Claude to generate responses; retention depends on Anthropic’s settings and policies.
  • Second Life: Via OpenMetaverse library for bot connectivity.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your stored data
  • Delete your bot credentials and request deletion of associated bot data according to our retention and support policies
  • Request information about your account

Note: You can clear conversation history and resident memory from the HUD. Bot owners may export memory associated with their bot for support/business use; visitor-facing disclosures should explain this where required.

Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide services, meet business/legal obligations, and prevent abuse. Current defaults are: conversation messages for up to 30 days; summaries and extracted memories for up to 180 days or until bot/owner deletion; analytics for up to 21 days; credentials, tokens, and assignments until forgotten, transferred, disabled, or deleted; billing/payment records as business records; and trial-token grant records until opt-out or deletion request unless needed for abuse or fraud accounting.

Children's Privacy

Wellbot is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
